welcome and here we go part four the white lands of empathica dandelow chapter one the thing under

the castle while in richard say's office, they discover two paintings by Patrick Danville, the character first introduced to us as a child in the pages of insomnia. One painting is of Mordred, complete with the birthmark and the scar along the side of his body where Susanna had shot off his leg,

and the other is of the dark tower in the field of roses.

Later, Susanna has a dream where she's with Eddie and Jake in New York at Christmas time.

It's here where she renounces the tower, instead stating that she'd rather be here with the two of them.

This, of course, is what happens to her, and I wonder it's because she chooses life in this dream

rather than death in reality.

The remaining three members of the Khatet head under Feddick to find the right door,

and as if King remembers that he made a few bucks here and there as a

horror writer and turns this segment into a horror story in which a monstrous

thing chases them through the underground corridors Roland skidded to a stop

immediately no questions no protest and pivoted on his heels.

She held the burning flashlight out before her, and for a moment they both saw the head of something wet and covered with pink albino eyes.

Below them was a mouth the size of a trap door, filled with squirming tentacles.

The sterno didn't burn brightly, but in this stygian blackness, it was bright enough to make the thing recoil. Before it disappeared into the blackness again, she saw all of those eyes squeezing shut
