Summary
This week on the podcast, the fellas begin the offseason transition from free agency to the 2021 NFL Draft. But, before we dive into the prospects in this class, it’s a good time for a refresher on where the roster stands.
First up, the guys visit the Rod Wood-Shed and discuss the happenings at the NFL owner’s meetings this week. What does a 17th game mean for the league? What about the players? What are the cap implications of adding another game? Additionally, each team will host an international game sometime in the next eight years. And in news closer to home, Detroit is still in the mix to host the 2024 NFL draft, and the Lions have an opportunity to alter their uniforms over the next year.
Next up the guys examine the two trades at the top of the NFL Draft between the 49ers and Dolphins, then Dolphins and Eagles, and discuss how this could impact the Lions’ options at pick No. 7.
Finally, the fellas go position-by-position through the roster, look at who has been added, explore the level of need for more players, and project if that player(s) could be added via the draft or free agency.

| 1:06.9 | there was, there was no shameless shilling for you last year. It happened organically. It's fine. And we missed the window anyways this year. So it's not like we couldn't, nothing we're doing right now is going to help anyway. That should be the mantra for the show. We do nothing to help ourselves. You know, our reviews keep coming in, though, which is nice. We usually talk about those at the end, but, you know, we're up to 357 on iTunes, which is awesome. |
| 1:31.2 | Two more lit reviews. |
| 1:32.9 | Floating up. |

| 1:36.0 | So it's nice to see that we're still getting some recognition from listeners and people taking the time to, it's just's just, it's awesome. So, uh, maybe we should skip weeks more often. Yeah, keep going up. Well, it's going to get busy. It's going to get busy real quick because the draft is a month away or less than a month away depending on when you listen, right? So. Yeah. Steam rolling. Yeah. So we're going to be, man, this, the whole searching for a new gym and |
| 2:06.3 | searching for a new coach just set me back so far. You know what I mean? Like, I feel like I'm |
| 2:12.4 | still doing stuff now that I'm normally doing like in February leading up to the combine. So I am behind. |
| 2:21.0 | I feel like I'm like constantly behind and I'm working as fast as I can to try and learn these |
