This is the Papers. Nice to be with you this morning. It's an old

muggy morning here, an old muggy morning here in Salford, so it is. It's a bit, a bit heavy

is the weather this morning, in case you were wondering, I thought I'd tell you. Shall we go straight to the front pages?

We're going to start with the telegraph this morning.

Now, pretty much all of the newspapers are carrying a photograph this morning.

A photograph of a brand new portrait of Charles, the monarch.

It's a weird-looking thing. You may have seen this on social media, you may have seen it on a news bulletin. We'll come back to it because

there's an interesting story in the mirror about the portrait of the man a year after his

coronation. Jonathan Yo, I believe, is the artist.

Anyway, the headline on the front of the Telegraph

is Tories tell police, bring back stop and search.

So this is policing minister, Chris Philp.

He's written in the Telegraph, and he says that stop and search is a vital

tool in taking knives off the streets of the UK. He says in his piece in the telegraph, it isn't

used often enough by police. We'll come back to it. It's interesting. The Times don't teach
