a Conservative Party MP, who did the unthinkable. She left her party, crossed the floor

of the House of Commons, and joined the Labour Party, switched allegiance

from the Tories to Labour. It's a strange one this, because Elphick hadn't planned and doesn't

plan to stand again for election in the forthcoming general election here. So Starmour was pretty

smug and cock a hoop yesterday, mocking his opposite number, the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. But it seems

that lots of Labour people are unhappy about the fact that she has been accepted into the Labour Party.
