Hello. Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Year Pligamy podcast. I'm your host, Lindsay.

And it's good to be back. It's been a crazy summer. I just spent a month living down in Short Creek, quarantining down there,

and having just wild adventures. And now I am back, back in Salt Lake because coronavirus is getting

really bad and we're quarantining at home. So hello to all of you out there who are quarantining. Hello to all of you

out there who don't think you should be quarantining. Please, please get inside because I care about you.

So it's good to be back and I'm really, really excited for this interview today because it's, I think,

going to be an important one. One of the focuses that I'm going to be doing on the podcast this year, and as we go forward

in the episodes, is to work on helping give the community that I have curated through

this podcast resources to deal with the information that we learn from Year of Polygamy.

And what I mean by that is when we

started Year of Polygamy, the journey together, the podcast, it was kind of a crazy hard podcast.

I mean, it's a hard thing to be told that people turn off, they have to turn off your podcast.

It's just, it's hard. It's hard to sort of bring that kind of pain and wound and open it up. I know I

didn't cause it, but I certainly shone a light on it. And so as part of my accountability to that,

I want to make sure that I'm giving us new ways to think about things afterwards, resources to

help people, resources to help understand this whole polygamy thing,

why it happened to Mormonism, the impacts of it, how it affects us, generational trauma and

things like that. And so that's really become a goal of mine. And this year, I hope we'll

move towards that. I've moved towards that in practice, put my money where my mouth is.

I helped pass a decriminalization of pulgamy bill this year.

And that was very challenging to me on very personal and professional and spiritual levels.

So I want us to work through some of the issues that we talk about. The podcast is hard and it's
