Is that like every episode this year that I kind of start by saying more

of it's the same thing?

Like, wow, it's so nuts how much crazier could it get but it got a

hell of a lot crazier this week I'm sure you have heard enough people

yammering on and on about the angry mob storming the capital and you know Trump getting impeached for the second time the about it, because you're probably sick of hearing about it, but I will give you some references to other people talking and writing about it.

If you're interested in hearing another take, one of my favorite writers and friend of the show, Matt Stoller, had a great article in The Guardian

this week about his sort of hot take about some of the root causes for what's happening in this country. another friend of the show and one of my

favorite writers Tom Frank was the guest on the David Mick Williams podcast and I really like

his take on it. He is smart and a historian and just one of generally one of my favorite people and I think he really kind of gets it right.
