Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the three of seven podcast.

I just wanted to do a race report on the Revenant Ultra Adventure Race.

I've been asked by a lot of people kind of what happened out there, kind of how to race went.

And there's definitely some lessons learned learned a few stories to be told

so just wanted to take a minute to put it out there if you don't know what the revenant is

just a quick rundown it's 450 kilometer loops in the mountains of the south island new zealand you have to navigate the course

with a map and compass so it's not just a normal trail race and it's got tons of elevation gain and

loss i don't know the exact numbers somewhere around 50 000 feet believe. So it's a really intense event.

But anyways, guys, this is just my story.

First of all, I did not complete the race this year.

And I could sit here and make up a bunch of excuses and tell you all the reasons why I didn't finish the race,

but that's not really my style.

So kind of what I found in my life is 95% of the time, the outcomes of my situations are based upon my own decisions.

In other words, I didn't finish the race this year in large part to my own decisions

and to my own mistakes that I made because of improper planning, whatever it may be.

And that's just been a big lesson for me throughout my life, is just owning my decisions.

And when failure happens, instead of sitting here making excuses, it's going back through

different what I did wrong and what I can come back next year and do right so starting
