My first day of my first tour was the Monvon 2 stage in 2000.

And I was delayed getting there.

I walked into the press room as the riders were on the final climb,

and Armstrong and Pontani crests the hill together,

and, you know, Pontani wins the stage. The press room erupts. Yeah. And everybody around me is

saying, Lance let Pantani win. And I said, what?
