When her daughter went missing on September 21st, 2015, Genie Kramer was nearly a world

away, driving through the Australian Outback. A nurse who works in remote Aboriginal communities,

Genie got the call about her daughter, Asha, a day into her three-day journey to her home,

a small town to the south of Brisbane.

Well, I was driving, it takes me three days to drive back here to my house.

I lived at the coast.

And so I was driving and on my second day of driving phone rang and the phone rang and it was my

older daughter Janski and she said, Ash is in the hospital and I went, oh my God, and you know, know I said it's going to take me another day or so to get home and then I'll get on a plane and then within within a couple minutes she called me back and said, oh no, she's missing.

And then I was just like, oh my God, what is going on?
