Tristan, you're here at Moguefest and you're going to perform later on.

And I know before we started recording I was asking you to talk a little bit about what you're doing with your music and with technology.

Can you sort of give me a primer.

Help me introduce me to it.

I mean, I essentially sound like a band,

but I'm one person.

You know, there's a lot of producers out there that perform as one person,

DJ's, these drum machines, electronics, I basically do that, but what I do differently is my instruments that they play on aren't buttons and

nobs they're much larger and they have they slide they're very physical so I

interact with synthesizers, computer scents, you know,

drum machines with the custom very physical controllers

that I'm designed and fabricated myself.

I play heavy music, like heavy as in like doom metal, dark industrial stuff.

So my instruments tend to be you know I kind of the aesthetic of that sensibility or they feel like that.

They have weight to them.

They use bearings and very industrial components that I use at my day job, which is an engineer, work on,

my microscopy and robotics, and different mechanical design therein.

So that's kind of I've applied all those techniques and maybe some sculpture

and art as well to making my live setup more interesting for me and meaningful to play, I can feel the music.
