So just last week I zipped from Northern Europe to Northern California.

Here I am recording this intro at Sea Otter, the consumer-facing and still very industry forward cycling trade show in beautiful

Monterey, California. Did a little bit of bike racing. We also debuted recovery at Untapped. Check that out.

love it. And so there I was in Corkerick, Belgium last week, doing a very fun forthcoming video

project with Cannondale and L.L. Bean. And I noticed the Bahrain-Victorius vehicles were

located just a few blocks away from our Airbnb.

These days, I don't maintain all that much communication with my once upon a time world tour comrades,

but Maté Mohorich is a monument winner. He's a multi-time Tour de France stage winner.

He's a two-time world champion, among other accolades.

He's also a former

teammate. So putting up top results in the World Tour for Bar and Victorious. And he's a

person with whom I still maintain contact. So I thought to myself, what a great opportunity to have

this chat. To host a podcast, of course, as long as he was game for it amid a very busy

week between Tour of Flanders

and Roubaix. Convenient for me. Convenient for us. He was, which is awesome. He and I agreed

on a time and place to meet. And then at the last minute, we found out that his team was migrating

from Belgium to France for a closer start to Perry Rubet.
