And this week I'm reviewing a novel that

Well, when I originally sat down to think about creating a Stephen King podcast, this one gave me pause.

If you remember in my review of Dream Catcher, I mentioned that there were a couple books that I did not look forward to rereading.

And this one sat on the top of the list.

Now, I remember getting it for Christmas, and I still remember the feeling of a new Stephen King

book all wrapped up underneath the Christmas tree.

Just a perfect present from Santa Claus to me.

I wasn't in school at the time.

nothing to do, just the opportunity to sit around under the Christmas lights, staying warm,

drinking hot chocolate or tea, feeling full, having, you know, just had a full Christmas dinner, maybe going out the next day

and using, you know, some of my gift cards if I got any, you know, and if I was just bored

from not doing anything, just really not having to do anything except enjoy life and read

this new Stephen King book.

What could go wrong?

The result is that my Christmas experience was all about reading a ponderous, meandering,

and sad to say, boring novel about a killer car.

But a killer car that never does anything.

The book itself is a huge...
