Summary

In this week's episode of the Talking Chop podcast, you will notice a decided lack of Ozzie Albies trade proposals and references to Michigan sports and the curse of Atlanta sports. That is because Brad is on location in Vegas covering the NBA Summer League. As a result, you are stuck with Eric handling main host duties. My condolences. Fortunately, Scott was able to join me to cover a whole lot of ground in Brad's absence. Enclosed in said podcast you will find topics covered including: - Recapping the Braves' awesome first half of the season - Our MVPs and LVPs for the Braves from the first half of the season - Discussing the injured and rehabbing Braves including Anthony Swarzak, Dansby Swanson, and Ender Inciarte - Looking back at the games from the last week or so - Recovering from a crazy 9th inning in Sunday's game versus the Marlins - An early look at trade deadline targets - Much, much more Learn more about your ad choices. How are you been, buddy?

0:38.7

I'm good, man.

It was, we're recording this.

For those who those don't know, we're recording this about 10 minutes after Sunday's game

wrapped up.

So you can imagine it was a little stressful as we were sitting here ready to record.

0:49.5

But yeah, that was, you know, it's kind of a reflection of the first half, though, right? I mean, it wasn't necessarily the prettiest thing in the world, and it made our hearts rate, and like you said, you need a drink.

But at the end of the day, the Braves won, and now they get to go into a much-needed break for the next four or five days and kind of recover a little bit.

1:07.7

Yeah, and it was, it was just hysterical kind of how it went. The Braves were in control for literally the first seven innings.

1:13.9

Then basically a fastball that doesn't get in quite enough results in a three-run homer

to make it a one-run game.

1:19.2

And then a confluence of events in the ninth inning results in the bases loaded, being
