Hey everybody and welcome back to another Pink Bike podcast. I'm Mike Levy, and I swear that there's no Formula One in this podcast, I promise.

0:19.6

But what there is is we're going to talk about some things that the industry could do better.

0:24.3

And this all comes from an article that Mr. Seb Stott wrote titled Five Things that the

0:29.8

Bike Industry could do better, which is pretty self-explanatory.

0:34.2

Judging by the comment section under that article, though, there were about 5,000 things

0:38.6

that the bike industry could possibly do better. So today, I've got Brian and Casimir with me,

0:44.9

because we're going to talk about all of that stuff. But first, I wanted to be, you know,

0:49.6

I'm a positive guy. You guys know this, right? Kaz, you know I'm a positive guy, right?

0:54.5

Yeah, all rainbows and sunshine all the time. Exactly. So that's how I want to start this podcast.

0:59.9

And Brian, I'm going to ask you, what is something that the industry does really well?

1:08.4

Should I make everybody upset right off the bat yes 100% okay well the top comment on

1:51.4

2023 than you could in 2013. Like, yes, the most expensive bikes have gotten way more expensive,

1:57.6

the ones we spend a lot of time talking about. And like, they've gotten absurdlyly expensive and I'm not a huge fan of that. But honestly, for the bikes that most people

2:05.7

buy, your money goes further today, which is impressive. So I've been working on an op-ed,

2:13.0

basically titled Mountain Biking Isn't Too Expensive. Casimir's told me not to write it about 10 times.

2:20.1

Rightfully so, but I do sort of agree. And I also understand people's sentiment that we are

2:27.8

idiots with that opinion. But also, like, bikes are, some of them are a lot more expensive.

2:32.3

But I think we're going to talk about this because

2:34.6

this is on my list too i think a lot of it is perception like we test really expensive bikes a lot of
