Neither Lauren nor I knew who should start that month.

We were both scared to start.

This is a scary episode. As I'm sure you could tell from the

episode description, this is a deviation from our normal format as we are want to do sometimes.

We felt that it was that what is happening right now as a result of Dave Chappelle's special, The Closer on Netflix, couldn't wait another week.

So that's what we are talking about today.

And we want to give, well, I think, I don't know,

I'm going to try not to make it 14 prefaces. I'm going to try to boil it down to like three.

So Lauren, feel free to jump into any of these prefaces at any moment.

Don't do. Yes. The number one preface that I think stands above all other prefacies is that Lauren and I are

generally of the opinion that this is not a fight for white people. Here, here. That's, we are not, we, we, we just, it sort of starts and ends with that.

We're going to share some of our impressions and moreover some, um, sources where, uh, black trans

people have spoken out about this so that you all can read those impressions because

those feel like the most relevant impressions.

But overall, anything that we say here, anything we discuss should be taken with the tiniest

grain of salt because we're not only says people, we're white. And our feeling is that,

um, yeah, this is just not about white people. Yeah, I tweeted this from my personal account,

because it was my personal feelings. Um, I did retweet it from the pods account, but basically

what I said, by the time this has dropped, it'll be like a week
