Summary

Son of Man - The Name Show NotesSummary: The term “son of man” is used to refer to the prophet Ezekiel 93 times. It was used to refer to Daniel only one time, but in Daniel it is also presented as a name for the Lord Jesus Christ in prophecy. The title “the Son of Man” is used 87 times in the new testament: once in Acts, twice in Revelation, and 84 times Christ referred to Himself as the Son of Man. (32 times in Matthew, 15 times in Mark, 25 times in Luke, 12 times in John) What is the meaning of the son of man, and why is it also a title of Jesus Christ? This episode Is brought to you by the following Bible Mysteries Podcast Premium Subscribers or Seekers:Andrea C., Daniel R., Lisa G., Stephanie C., and William C.Scriptures:All Scripture references are from the King James Version of the Bible. Matthew 8:18-20, Daniel 7:9-15, Ezekiel 2:1-5, Ezekiel 3:4-7, Matthew 15:21-24, Ezekiel 3:23-27, Ezekiel 4:1-8, Exodus 12:40-42, Galatians 3:13-18, Ezekiel 7:2, Ezekiel 17:2, Matthew 9:1-8, Matthew 10:23, Matthew 12:1-8, Matthew 24:30Show Notes:Ezekiel was commanded to prophecy warnings, not only against Israel, but also against the enemy nations that will be joined to the Beast and his kingdom: Pharaoh and Egypt, Babylon, the Ammonites, Moab, Seir, Edom, Philistia, Tyrus, Zidon, the false prophets and shepherds of Israel, Gog and his confederate army.Takeaway:The most important thing to take away from the title “the Son of Man” is that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of a woman, that He might redeem mankind by His blood, and can lay claim to the title of the earth as a man. Next week we will continue exploring the sign of the Son of Man.Bible Mysteries Podcast Visit our Websites: biblemysteriespodcast.com & utbnow.comListen to our Podcast: biblemysteriespodcast.comBe a Premium Podcast Subscriber: https://biblemysteries.supercast.comSupport the Ministry: https://secure.subsplash.com/ui/access/BDJH89Contact Us: unlockthebiblenow@gmail.comFollow Us: https://www.youtube.com/c/BibleMysteriesFollow Us:https://www.facebook.com/utbnowFollow Us:https://www.instagram.com/biblemysteries/Follow Us:https://twitter.com/biblemyspodcastFollow Us:https://truthsocial.com/@biblemysteriesFollow Us:https://rumble.com/c/c-1711765Interactive church locator for those looking for a fellowship that teaches certain truths - https://rockharborchurch.net/grow-connect/church-locator/

What if there are secrets in the Bible the world doesn't want you to know?

You're listening to Episode 170, Son of Man, the name.

0:27.6

Now here are your hosts, Scott and John. Hello and welcome once again to Bible Mysteries podcast. I'm Scott Mitchell. I'm John Potts,

0:57.3

and this is the show that talks about things in the Bible that the world doesn't want you to know.

1:02.3

And we are back with a whole new episode, John, that we're going to dive into in a little bit here,

1:06.5

and we're going to talk about the son of man. That's a phrase that's used a lot in the Bible about

1:11.3

Jesus Christ. And I don't think most people even really understand what it relates to. So we'll

1:15.6

dive into that shortly. But have you heard that expression, the son of man?

1:20.7

I have and I have to always keep in mind because really there's two expressions in the Bible. One is

1:26.1

son of man and then sons,

1:28.7

I think, plural, of God, right? Which refers to the angelic beings. True. You have the angelic

1:34.8

beings and then you have the son of man, which refers to a human-born Messiah, correct?

1:39.9

Right. And what's interesting is both terms. it's interesting you brought up Sons of God,

1:46.1

because both terms have more than one application. So we've got Sons of God, like, since you brought

1:52.0

that up, you know, that can refer to the fallen angels. Or angels in general.

1:57.3

But most commonly, the fallen angels, right? Yeah, usually when we talk Genesis 6,

2:01.2

the sons of God took the daughters of men. And that's strictly referring to the ones that

2:05.5

rebel, the angels that sinned. But then we are sons of God as children that have trusted

2:11.8

Christ as our Lord and Savior. So if you wanted a single defining characteristic of the term,

2:17.3

it would be created. Because you and I weren't created, we were born. But the moment we become a child of God, we are a new creature. Okay, so hold on. You got back up there a little bit. We weren't created? No, Adam was created. You were born. Ah, okay. Yeah. I guess I never put it in that perspective before.

2:35.3

Right. So it's kind of like when we read in the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence,
