choice working or do you have a good method to fight against temptation but sometimes fail to use it?

I want to take a moment to read today's devote

Imagine with me for a second.

Jesus is sitting with his disciples,

recounting his intimate and intense experience with the devil,

describing in vivid detail the way that Satan attempted to tempt him for 40 whole

days. This story is one of the most personal in the Gospels because we get to see and hear how Jesus,

fully man and fully God, fights and overcomes temptation. Jesus was at his weakest point during these 40 days.

He didn't eat during this time.

Though he was weak, the Lord allowed him to be tempted throughout the time.

Throughout the New Testament, Scripture emphasizes that the Lord will provide a way out of our current temptation.

That's 1 Corinthians 1013. And Jesus models this verse perfectly for us

here in Luke 4. In three separate instances, Satan tempts Jesus to sin, yet each time the Lord

provides a way out using scripture. It is hard to believe that our perfect God can relate to our

imperfect situation.

We face those every day, but Hebrews 415 reminds us that though Jesus was tempted, just as

we are every day, he never gave in.

He lived a perfect life, died on our behalf, and rose again so that those who believe in
