Imagine with me for a second.

Jesus is sitting with his disciples,

recounting his intimate and intense experience with the devil,

describing in vivid detail the way that Satan attempted to tempt him for 40 whole

days. This story is one of the most personal in the Gospels because we get to see and hear how Jesus,

fully man and fully God, fights and overcomes temptation. Jesus was at his weakest point during these 40 days.

Though he was weak, the Lord allowed him to be tempted throughout the time.
