Today, the war for Manchuria continues, and we're going to pick things up by finishing

off the Port Arthur campaign.

We left Nogi Moreske, having traded a few thousand casualties for a few of the outer hills

defending Port Arthur itself.

Nogi, simply put, was slowly grinding the Russians down. Now, here's where I think it's

worth it to have a brief diversion into Nogi's character. Remember, he was picked for the

Port Arthur Command because he was a respected war hero who had led Japan to victory in this very

place at Port Arthur against China ten years earlier.

He did it once. He should be able to do it again.
