Summary
Beth had a career working in the paranormal entertainment industry and was typically called in to be the "resident skeptic", someone who can call a person's bluff and inspect the surroundings to ensure no tricks were being played.
When she was invited to work on a television project about a mysterious device that allows one to contact the dead, she assumed her usual discerning stance.
That is, until a familiar voice rang out from the box.
