Of course.

For this case, we're going to travel to Jacksonville, Florida in 1998.

Jacksonville back in 1998 was slightly less populated than it is now. Currently Jacksonville

has a population of just under 1 million residents and in 1998 it was around

700,000.

And you all know the statistics by now.

With larger populations come more crimes,

including violent crimes.

But Jacksonville was a unique city, as it's also a resort-style city.

So tourists and out-of-towners are always in and out, something that also raises crime rates.

And because of that Jacksonville in 1998 had rape and

assault rates that doubled the national average and a murder rate that almost tripled it.

That's crazy.

That's really high.

It is.

There's a lot to do in Jacksonville.

Go to the zoo, visit downtown, go to the beach, enjoy recreation centers and beautiful parks with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop.

It's gorgeous.
