Summary

I don’t know whether to say thank you to Michael... or to say congratulations... or to apologize, because Michael, at 24 years old I think brings home the title as youngest guest ever on King or the Ride podcast. He’s packed plenty of life into those 24 years, as you’re going to hear about today. He’s had an illustrious road career including national championship titles won. More to the point, he represents the new breed of what it means to be an American bike racer. He’s very handy in a gravel race having just taken 2nd at the US national championships, he’s crafty on a mountain bike, and he’s a force in the US crit scene.  Sit back and enjoy this one with Michael Garrison. all around Northern California as part of the Grasshopper Adventure series in their foray into

in route to Big Sugar. Now, I don't know whether to say thank you to Michael, perhaps say congratulations,

0:59.6

maybe to apologize to him, but Michael Garrison, at 24 years old, I think takes home the

It's a little bit crazy to me to think that I've been at this gravel gig since about 2016.

1:19.2

So that's 10 years.

1:21.5

And 10 years ago, Michael was 14 years old.

1:25.5

At that point, he was just getting into the sport that's helped steer his life,

1:29.8

steer much of his family's lives. And now at 24, he's already had an illustrious road career.

1:36.5

He's won national titles, won plenty of big races all around the country and around the world.

1:41.7

But he represents this new breed of what it means to be an American bike racer.
