privilege in the world to be with so many friends from all over the world who join me every

week to listen to my stories, inspiration, biblical encouragement. And I am just so glad

that you're here today. Thanks so much for joining me.

Hello again, it's Clay and Sally time. Hi everybody. Hi everyone. I hope you're enjoying this process.

If you could know what Clay and I are going through, he is my ever constant companion

through this eye difficulty. If you listen to this year's, I've had an eye injury that

keeps going on and on and on. And so we, he puts drops in my eyes every hour, every hour

and now we're sitting here this morning, right after the one set of drops, before another

set of drops, and we're going to give you our whole heart in this, the next two principles

in the book, the life-giving parent. And so we're passionate about this in the midst of

real life. And I'm looking so forward to these chapters because they are very, very profoundly

important to us today. They were to me as a mom. And so Clay, tell us what we're going to

be going through today. Well, good to be with you all again. Of course, last time we were

looking at the eight heartbeats of parental life giving that the book is based around this

idea of how do we bring the life of God into the life of our home. How do we give our

children not just a Christian life, but give them the life of Christ. Last time we looked

at the first two heartbeats that was numbering your child's days and nurturing your child's

spirit. And today we're looking at the next two, which are guarding your child's heart

and renewing your child's mind. So heart and mind, kind of a good pair there to work

on today. All those internal parts that really define who our children are. All of these

heartbeats really are in some ways about the inner man, the inner person of your child
