Summary

For those of us who are parents, seeing our children suffer or in danger is one of the greatest pains we can experience. We want to hold on to these blessings from God, to keep them safe within our grasp from any harm that could come their way. But, as Meg Apperson knows all too well, that isn’t always possible. Meg’s second child was born with a rare birth defect that led to life-threatening complications, and before her youngest was out of the ICU, her older child was hospitalized separately. With two children in two different ICU’s, Meg was forced to come to terms with the realities of suffering and to wrestle with the question, “Is God really good when all of this is so bad?” Meg sits down with Davey to share her story and some of what she’s learned about trusting in the goodness of God no matter the outcome.   Episode Resources: Buy Sky Full of Stars: Learning to Surrender to God’s Perfect PlansFollow Meg on InstagramVisit www.fourfinelives.com to read Meg’s blogsFollow The Rescue Project on Instagram and FacebookBecome a Monthly Partner of NIW MinistriesCall 317-983-1090 with questions for the birthday episodeScripture Reference:Colossians 1:24 Learn more about your ad choices.
