0:48.0	It's been nearly three months since the U.S. government first announced an outbreak of H5N1 avian
0:53.2	influenza on a U.S dairy farm. Since then we've seen the number of
0:57.2	affected dairy farms climb to more than 125 herds in 12 states and
1:01.6	three farm workers infected. While the threat posed by
1:05.1	H5N1 to the general public remains low, there are concerns that the virus is
1:09.8	more widespread than we know and questions about about how the U.S. is responding to the outbreak.
1:16.0	Here's what Seth Berkeley, former CEO of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, said in a presentation
1:21.3	in London on vaccine development, as reported by Stat News.
1:25.0	I live in Switzerland, but in my home country of the United States it's been shocking to watch the ineptitude of just doing the surveillance,
1:32.0	being able to talk about it, tracking the
1:34.7	infections, understanding where we are. Do we have vaccines? Are they the right vaccines?
