Florian Vermeersch is a Belgian cyclist with some very impressive palmares to his name. 2nd place in Paris-Roubaix as a 22 year old, a pair of silver medals at the UCI gravel world championships, a handful of wins, a whole bunch of podiums, not to mention he's often the right hand man to Tadej Pogacar in plenty of races on the UAE Emirates squad. 0:10.3	We are now stepping into my favorite three-week chunk of the year, the first three weeks of July.
0:15.6	The tour to France is upon us. Millions of cycling fans all around the world are right there with me calling this their favorite.
0:23.6	There's a very good chance that you're in the same boat, just eager to get July rolling
0:26.9	so that we can tune in and watch the world's best cyclists do their thing at the tour.
0:33.3	And today's episode features an absolute hot shot in global cycling, someone who's right there in the action all throughout the year from the Spring Classics, straight on through the UCI Gravel World Championships late in the year in October.
0:47.1	I'm talking about Belgian star cyclist Florian Vermeersch.
0:51.4	Now, I think it is fairly safe to say that Florian hit a lot of people's radar when he finished
0:56.8	second. And what I want to say is his first ever periouba. He was just 22 years old. He's gone on to
1:04.3	net a whole bunch of impressive results as well as switch from the Belgian stalwart team Lato
1:09.2	Sudal to the cycling powerhouse UAE team Emirates.
1:14.1	He's earned a silver medal at the UCI Gravel World Championships, not once, but twice.
1:20.3	Maybe with an eye to return this fall and go one step higher in the 2025 edition.
1:26.4	Anyway, Florian is a rock star.

1:57.9	were back on our way, back on our way towards town. And I found myself next to someone with a jersey that had the word Scarborough on it.
