There's a so-ho loft known as the New York Earth Room, which contains nearly a quarter

At the same time, they built a power plant that supplied energy to the terminal and

surrounding tracks, complete with its own set of tracks and a platform so that cargo

trains could carry the plants' waste away.

But in 1930, the plant was torn down, and a hotel was built on the same spot.

It was a clean start with everything built from scratch.

Well, except for one thing, they left the tracks and the platform underground, and even
