That's not John Bonas.

He is, I don't know, A-Wall. He doesn't care about this show like I care about this show, people. I am Aaron Gleeman, the Gleman half of Gleman, the geek, from NBCSports.com, Aaron Gleman.com. And as usual, I've turned to the bullpen to sub for a, I know, let's call it vacationing John Bonus, Parker Hagman of Twinsdaily.com, who really, you know, I like John Bonus. And so I act like he's worth reading on Twinsdaily.com, but, you know, we all know about John. Parker, on the other hand, occasionally, I'm not going to inflate your ego too much, but occasionally is actually worth reading on Twinsdaily.com.

So that's the nicest thing I'm probably going to say to you today, Parker. All right. Well, yeah, let's keep that standard high. Welcome. We have some good stuff to talk about, some, you know, not so great stuff to talk about. Since, you know, we talked a lot about the Kevin Correa trade. Is this show still about the twins? Well, you guys haven't changed the format yet.

We've had some college talk with Bonas's daughter trying to choose a school. But occasionally we talk about the twins. How about brunch? Has there been any brunch talk? Nah, I try to keep that private. Okay. That's my private life part. I don't like to talk about brunch in public. Definitely not on social media. No, no. But last week we talked a lot about Kevin Correa, just sort of the fact that his, I don't know, his spot in the rotation kind of had more value than him at some point. And so getting rid of them, I mean, it's possible they might get a semi-prospect back for him from the Dodgers, but just not having him around head value. And then a couple days later, after the last show, they basically did the same thing with Josh Willingham. The guy that got Jason Adam, AAA Ritey, although I guess they're sending him back to double A. not a good track record, but he was a fifth round pick, you know, three years ago or whatever.

He's still 22 or 23.

Well, in 2012, I think he had a, you know, very good arm in high A at the time. You know, he was hitting upper 90s, but then they moved him into a relief role, and that's kind of why he's taking that step back to double A. The twins want to convert him back to a starter. Yeah, so he's a guy who, I mean, just reading, I haven't seen a pitch, obviously, but reading baseball America and all that stuff, you know, decent velocity with a chance to be pretty good velocity, maybe as a reliever. Okay, control, but doesn't miss enough bats as a starter, certainly, or hasn't. He's got a five ERA in the minor so it's mold

yeah he's uh he throws hard for them but yeah it's the strikeout rate definitely uh

fits their mold but yeah the point sort of or i don't maybe you disagree you're allowed to disagree

by the way bonus never disagrees with me on anything but you're no i you just keep talking you're

doing the best yeah uh the you know

willingham less so maybe than korea because they don't really have a clear you know young

potential long-term upside guy to play in left field instead of willingham i mean we've seen

edwardo nunez and jordan schaefer and infielders can play the outf. Yeah. Whereas, you know, with Correa, they have a few young pitchers that they can put in there. But, you know, Willingham, well, A, he'd been pretty terrible now for, well, basically since the beginning of last season. Kurt, terrible defensively. I mean, he ran out of position. Occasional Homer, he can draw some walks, but.

Good against lefties at times.

Right.

And so, you know, for the Royals, I could see why they'd want to pick him up. He dhs. You limit the damage you can do defensively. Well, like last night's game, he pinched for Raul O'Banias against Perkins. Right. That's kind of what you have as a postseason contending team.

That's an element you need off the bench.
