Hello, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the Detroit Lions Breakdown podcast. I'm

0:05.1

Joe Kenya. With me, as always, is Eric Schlett from USA Today Lions Wire. And Eric, the grind of the

0:11.6

off season keeps going on and on and on. And we're going to talk about all the latest Lions stuff.

0:17.2

There's some news, you know, Jeff Kuda, we'll start with that, the latest

0:21.8

Lions News. He signed his rookie deal, which should be no surprise to. Yeah, and it came in right

0:28.0

about where we expected it to, right? It's a nice deal. He's got a lot of guaranteed money.

0:34.5

He makes around that $6 million his first year. That'll be his cap hit this first year.

0:41.1

But he's got something like $27 million guaranteed out of that contract, right?

1:23.3

positive. Whenever you see national writing about him, it's always like future pro bowler,

1:30.5

Jeff Okuda, signed his first year. You know what I mean? That's just like, that's the way it is.

1:34.2

Yeah, they're very high on. I mean, I hope they're all right. I hope he's an all pro

1:38.5

within a couple of years, you know. Yeah, so it's, it's nice to have him under contract. What's

1:43.6

interesting is that um he's still

1:47.4

the third highest paid corner on the team which means that of the top eight contracts the

1:54.2

lions have three of them are corners so you know that's not shocking it's an important defensive

1:59.7

position right and it's a it's a big deal for what they
