Summary

Oakland A's owner John Fisher has been taking a lot of flack for having such a low pay roll and trading away the team's best players. On today's episode I explore the role of owners and discuss what is exactly you want from your team's owner. To me it is very simple. An owner has a responsibility to put a good product on the field or court. John Fisher has done that. A's fans don't show up. The A's are near the bottom in attendance numbers every year, The die hard A's fans are very loyal, but there aren't enough of them. To me, Fisher has done his job. The A's have been very competitive during his tenure as owner and the fans have stayed away. What is an owner to do? It works both ways! Learn more about your ad choices.
