I found the courage to share this after reading the numerous sightings of the Native American mythical creatures,

specifically the short people that seem to go by many names across the tribal regions of America.

This exact type of creature has been cited and discussed among Aboriginal people in Australia for thousands of years.

In the southwest region, they're known as the Wuraji or Harry Bushmen.

Standing just a few feet tall, they possess insane strength and speed.

Before colonization, there were stories of their friendships or alliances with

Aboriginal people, but also tales of conflict, people or even children being taken by them.

Specific rules were passed down to Aboriginal children,

avoid bodies of water at night or in the evening,

and never, ever whistle in the dark.

It's said to invite the Wiragi,

and nothing good comes of it,

though some believe that these stories are just warnings

to keep children safe around water.
