Hi, everyone. Welcome to episode 156. Hope you're all doing well and staying safe.

I have been noticing over the past few weeks a common trend. And that is that all of us are slowly losing our goddamn minds.

I feel like, you know, we're 18 months into this pandemic. It is so much

worse than most of us could have ever anticipated. I think a lot of us have lost touch with how to

coexist with one another. And I have a specific example that I'm thinking of that just I can't stop laughing at.

So I live in a condo building in Washington, D.C.

And there is a man who lives here who's very into gardening.

So he's got all kinds of plants on his balcony.

He maintains a garden on our roof deck that all of us have access to.

And he just, you know, plants stuff and waters it.

I don't know, whatever people who are into gardening do.

And I guess last year, he had planted a grapevine and it had grown on his balcony in a pot. And once it got to a

certain size, he realized it needed to go in the ground. But, you know, as people who live in a

building, we don't have ground in which to plant things. So he, without getting permission,

just went ahead, dug a massive hole in the yard of the building where I live, and he planted a grapevine. Oh, and I should mention he is on the

condo board. So I didn't know any of this had happened until the last few weeks

because this vine has taken root and it has just exploded in growth. I'm telling you,

it must grow a few inches a day. It looks dramatically larger every time I see it.

And unfortunately, it has started to attract some insects and rodents.

And so it's causing a problem.
