You see, kids, back in the old days, if you wanted to break into TV writing,

you wrote an episode of an existing show.

Those were your spec scripts.

These days, it's usually original pilots. But back then, you wrote specs of existing shows.

And Ben is doing readings of a Spex Seinfeld by David Isersen. We've had David on Dead Pilots with his great

electric youth. Dead

Pilot. He also wrote The Spy Who Dumped Me. He was a writer on New Girl. And he's also reading

a spec succession script by the writer behind the notorious parody Twitter account, fake Carol

...
