Forgot who you were. Forever I was. I should also mention we're being sponsored by Ticket King. Yeah, I'm still Aaron Gleman. John did a premature start to the show just then and forgot who he was. But other than that... I'm just so excited about a win, Aaron. Yeah. They've been feeling far away. Everything is coming together. I can feel it.

0:54.2

Yeah, except when I was like,

0:56.3

what,

0:56.5

yeah,

0:56.7

even John has to give up the ghost at this point. I was like, what do you want to talk about? He's like, Gardenhire? I was like, all right, because John usually, I don't want to say I'm like anti-Gardenhire, but I certainly have never been a huge fan of garden hire. Right.

1:12.6

I've never, like, written that he should be fired or anything.

1:27.3

I just think he's an average or worse manager. I thought that when they were winning, I thought that was, and John has always been sort of... I don't think he thought he was amazing. I think he's above average manager. Right. So if John now is saying... Although your point was, well, we can argue about this, I guess.

1:30.7

But your point was, it seems like, I mean, people have been calling for his head.

1:46.3

I remember hosting a call-in show after the 2010 playoff lost in the game. Right, right, right, right. And when, like, the team had won, whatever, seven division titles in 10 years or whatever, and people were like, they got to get rid of Gardner, right? they can't get over the game. And now how absurd. The two arguments back then were they need to get rid of a garden hair because they can't get over that hump of the first round playoff exit. Well, how so does that seem right now? First round playoff exit, you give up your firstborn for that. Although that's, I think that's still some people's point. Yes. Is that they wasted those opportunities underneath Gardenhawk? And the other argument back then was they really need a true ace at the top of the rotation right well that'd be nice but i'd take a third

2:04.6

starter at this point uh so yeah but john's point was sort of and i think i sense this too from

2:09.4

twitter and emails we get and just talking to people people have been calling for garden hair that's

2:13.7

been louder and louder people've been fed up just with the team and with garden hire and all that stuff.

2:34.2

But it really does seem that they're, you know, one of the things that you would say even a down here, if you're not handed a good roster, you blame that on the front office. But one of the things you would hope that garden hire for as long as he's been around and for his reputation could keep the team from collapsing down the stretch. you have a bad have a bad first half and you're out of contention. We'll keep them from, you know, finishing 8 and 30 or whatever. And it looks like they're headed to one of those collapses again. And they've certainly done that, I think, in two of the last three years, where they've been... I think they've done the three of the last three years. Right. I mean, some of the numbers were just... Well, actually, I think that's something we've seen over and over and over from Gar-Hair. In fact, I think even before they had these bad years, you could take a look at like 2005 and 2007, the two years that they didn't make the playoffs and take a look at their record in, you know, August and September, and it would be just dismal. They'd have total

3:07.9

collapses in 2005. As soon as they were out of any real shot of contention, the team kind of

3:13.0

went in the tank. And, in fact, you know, the alternate, by the way, has also been true.
