The Life Giving Parent. And I have with me today one of my favorite people, Sarah Mackenzie.

It's so much fun. Well, Sarah is a favorite of mine because her story and my story are so alike.

I just had the privilege of being able to read her wonderful book that's selling so well

and in the hands of so many people because it's so inspiring. And I loved it because I felt

like she was like me. I felt like when I finally did start discovering books and stories,

I just couldn't get enough. I just ate them up. And Sarah, tell us, I just can't wait to

speak my friends to know you even better. But tell us how many children you have and tell

us about your new book. So my husband and I live in the Pacific Northwest with our six kids,

our oldest is 16 and our youngest are four and a half year old twins, identical twin boys,

which are every bit as much trouble as you might imagine. And fun, but a little crazy.

The new book is called The Read-A-Loud Family, making meaningful and lasting connections with

your kids. And really the book came out of my own experience reading aloud with my kids. The

young ones also all the way up to my high school or in the kids who could read perfectly well on their

own. And the connections that come out of those shared experiences through stories. And I have been

so sort of gobsmacked by the power of stories in our family life. So that's where the book came from.
