Welcome back to another edition of the Disney Dish Podcast with Jim Hill.

All right, Jim, so a couple of quick things. We're going to do a quick segment on news and then

answers to some listener emails. First thing I want to talk about, Disney recently announced a couple of new summer deals for Walt Disney World,

and the pricing of these things is kind of interesting. Have you seen these?

No, not yet. The one that I'm looking at was this thing called the Incredible Summer Room

offer. It's for travel dates June 11th to August 1st 2018 and you can book them

if you book between now and May 25th you get up to 25% off on the rooms and if you

book after May 25th it's 20% off. Now this isn't a new discount. Disney

offered basically the same thing.

Last year, right around the same time, in March 27th, they offered a similar discount that

ran through most of the summer as well.

But here's what's interesting.

So last year, Disney offered discounts at the

value moderate and deluxe resorts at 15, 20, and 25 percent off. So value

resorts got up to 15 percent off,

Moderates got up to 20, Deluxe has gone up to 25 percent off. So you could have

picked up a wilderness lodge room for as little as $312 with tax.

So, but this year, the discounts don't follow that pattern and

I cringe some numbers here looking at a stay in mid-July. If you stay at pop century

Disney is offering you 20% off if you stay at Pop Century, Disney is offering you 20% off. If you stay at Port Orleans

French Quarter, Disney is offering you 10% off. And if you stay at the Wilderness Lodge,

Disney is offering you 15% off.
