How do you feel?

You drove across country in your back in Prescott, Arizona.

You are on your way to getting out of the military, transitioning.

Pretty close.

Yeah, pretty close.

How close are you?

I've already done all my medical shed.

I'm waiting for the VA to get back to me with my rating.

And if they give me a decent rating and I sign it, then they come to the order to get out of the Army in 90 days.

So it'll be like 60 days, terminal leave, 10 days, permissive TDI, and then 10 days to clear.

So once they get back to me, which should happen in their next month, six weeks, then I'm within 90 days to be in the civilian, which is crazy after 24 years.

How does that feel?

I mean, what do you feel like knowing it's that part of your life is going to come to an end, and then you're going to experience kind of a new life that you're kind of doing right now a little bit, but how does that feel?

I'm excited.

I'm excited.

I'm 24 years in the Army, 18 and special forces, but you know, if I'm being honest, then anybody will tell you this once you're done with team time and being a team sergeant, it's all staff work after that.

So leaving a staff job is not hard, leaving a team like you did, right?

You were still at the operational level, even though you're Sergeant Major, the leaving that is harder than leaving a staff job, staff job suck.

You know, let's be honest, when you're going to a staff job, staff job, do you have to create the mindset of kind of justifying what you do on a daily basis, like if you didn't, like your job and force modernization was relevant to the force.
