Hello everyone and welcome to Stephen Kingcast, one man's musings on the works of Stephen King.

Each week I'll review one entry in the bibliography of

Stephen King in the chronological order of publication. And today, what I get to discuss,

what I get to celebrate, actually, is a better word for it. What I get to celebrate is the

release of this week's trailer for New Line Cinema's upcoming adaptation

of Stephen King's 1986 masterpiece, the crown jewel in the collection of horror that

made him the title of the Master of horror, and that, of course, is it.

So, ladies and gentlemen, long-time listeners of the Stephen King cast will know that it was

it for me.

That was my first.

That was my gateway into the world of Stephen King.

Way back when I was in

sixth grade. I fell in love and I never looked back. And for those of you who are tuning in for

the first time, you can hear all of my thoughts on why it is a special book, why it is as well received as it is why it endures to this day

with my three and a half part review of the novel as well as my review of my review of his, the adaptation, the 1990, I believe, ABC miniseries starring Tim Curry.

So I have put out a lot of thought on it, and I am very happy that I have more thoughts to come as we have a crisp, stylish-looking

movie to look forward to this summer.

So I look forward to discussing sort of everything that has led to this moment.

I'm going to put this trailer into some context here, and then I'll discuss why I believe this

trailer worked as well as it did.
