much easier. At least easier than, say, doing the episodes on Cuba, a subject I knew less about initially

than other topics affecting the JFK assassination story. I thought that because so much of what we

were going to be talking about related to the assassination is so well known by almost everybody

At the outset of this new miniseries, I found myself reading and writing and

reading some more and pulling on one thread or another, learning more about topics I thought I

already knew a lot about. And as I began the synthesis of ideas that are required to put together

were turning out to be just a jumble of ideas that I quickly realized were too large to

leave to the normal unstructured wanders that I like to do when I'm rumbling through an area.
