Summary

We had our very first live show at the 2019 Listen Up PDX Festival in February! While Portland has lovely people and delicious potatoes, it also has legendary drag, including the oldest working drag queen (with a Guinness World Record to prove it!), Darcelle XV! We had the huge honor of sitting down with both Darcelle (aka Walter Cole) and Portland's premier drag clown Anthony Hudson (aka Carla Rossi) to discuss what exactly is Portland drag, how the city's drag scene even started (it's largely thanks to lesbians!) and the experience of watching the queer community evolve through some of its most formative decades. 1:17.6	oldest working drag queen, 89-year-old Darsel, who's been performing at her cabaret, Darcel 15, for over 50 years and we got to see her show the night before we did the interview.
