that next weekend up in Tahoe and Reno we're going to be doing a couple of Dead Pezens gigs. First off we're going to be doing a couple of Dead Pezants gigs. First off, we're going to be playing

in Tahoe at the Crystal Bay Casino with our very good friends, The Dead Winter Carpenters.

That's on Friday night. And on Saturday night night we're doing a free show over in

Reno at the Whitney Peak Hotel and speaking of gigs I bet some of you know that we did a crazy sneaky secret Foo Fighters show last night in in New Orleans

where I am sitting in a hotel room recovering from that. It was completely bonkers. We played at Preservation

Hall with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and we got into some crazy jam sesh stuff and it was, you know, bananas. So I'm sure it's all over

YouTube by now, so check it out. All right, let's get to it. And the Red Volkerker is what's known as a guitar picker's picker.

He's one of the true kings of the Telecaster Twang and has been a fixture on the Austin, Texas country music scene for many, many years.

The man has played with an endless line of legends,

and you can still catch him every week down at the Continental Club

with his own band, or the Honky Tunk Supergroup, Hey Bale.
