Hi, Real Lifers. I am coming to you from my dad and Joyce's basement.

We are getting ready to go on vacation for the full week of the 4th of July.

So next week, I won't be putting out a new episode.

I'm going to take a little break, have a little vacay, enjoy some time on Lake Michigan,

and be back ready for the Real Housewives of Potomac premiere.

I am so, so, so excited for the ladies of Potomac to be back.

Now, of all things I watched this week, actually of all Bravo shows I've watched in the last few years,

I don't think anything has moved me as much as this week's family karma.

It was just so incredible.

I watched it with my stepmom, who doesn't watch Bravo shows.

And we both were so taken with the honest depiction of Amrit telling his grandmother that he is gay. And all of the things that that

entails, including his parents, kind of being there, trying to guide him through this. He wants to propose to

his very long-term boyfriend, Nicholas. I think they've been together nine years. And before he

proposes, he very much needs to tell his grandmother because he wants her to be involved in the

engagement and in the wedding. And she has no idea that he is gay.

She's from India.

She is, I think she's over 90 years old.

And so there's not even a word for gay.

They were saying in Hindi or in their other mother tongue, which I didn't catch.

And I mean, this is something that I think so many people can relate to, of all ethnicities,
