Being desperate is underrated.

There's a lot of reasons to be desperate.

Like who we are and how much we need God. And Jesus never turns away, but he was desperate.

But I feel like sometimes we're not desperate for him.

We feel kind of like we're pretty good.

And I saw this quote from one of the guys who helped start Alcoholics Anonymous,

and he talked about that desperation.

And I feel like this is what we should be, all of us, because of our brokenness.

He says, people don't come to

AA to get made a little better. They don't come because the best people are doing it. They come

because they're desperate. They're utterly desperate men and women in search of redemption.

Without what AA gives, death stares them in the face. With what AA gives them. There's life and hope.

There are not a dozen ways.
