I'm John Bonas of Twinsdale later. How you doing here? That's you still? That's so much. I couldn't get rid of you. No, you'll not get rid of it. We suddenly are talking about a team that just dominates the New York. How does that feel, John? it's funny like I was thinking on the way over here

0:53.2

all those years

0:54.8

when a win or two against the Yankees

0:56.8

would have really... I'm not even asking to beat them in a series, but how about just a win for just the morale of you don't want to stop paying attention to the sport as a whole watching them? And now, well, they won... Well, I mean... They won a series in Yankee Stadium last year when they were completely terrible. Now they're, you know, hanging around 500, which is something we'll probably talk about, which is, you know, nice, I guess. But, yeah, it's weird how, I mean, in fairness, the Yankees are a whole lot worse, too. They are not the same team. Yeah, they are. It's hard to believe they're even contending in the ALEs.

1:30.1

I mean, I take a look at that line.

1:45.2

Well, it used to be that when you took up, when you, you know, when you talked about the Yankees, you talked about the Yankees lineup, right? And now I guess you're probably talking about their rotation. if you're talking about them as a strength, you know, for the most part, especially with this Tanaka guy.

1:45.2

Yeah, I was going to say it helps when you bring over a guy who's whatever. if you're talking about them as a strength, you know, for the most part, especially with this Tanaka guy.

1:51.4

Yeah, I was going to say it helps when you bring over a guy who's whatever, he's 8 and 1 with a 2ERA or something like that, just throwing the rotation.

1:59.8

I mean, he just seems such a competitive SOB. I mean, it's great. I loved watching him yesterday. The funny thing, like you said, about their lineup is it's a lot of the same guys who were part of those real powerful lineups, Jeter, obviously, to Chera hit in the middle of a bunch of those lineups, and they were just real dangerous. And then, you know, they also have some guys, I mean, Gardner was a part of that lineup, Soriano. Right. But then they also have some guys like Beltran and Brian Roberts, who were really good players for like a decade for other teams. You know, Roberts was a second base before the Orioles for a long time. Beltran bounced around with a bunch of teams. There's always, you know, an MVP caliber player. Now Roberts is a shell of his former self. Right. Transran's hurt. To Shera just got hurt again. Jeter is a, you know, a shell of his former self. That'll go over big with certain people who are listening to the show. But, yeah, it's interesting. I'm looking at their stats. They're right in the middle of the pack in Runscored. Right. And they are...

2:51.0

Which actually surprises me a little bit.

2:52.8

Yeah.

2:54.8

It is literally... I watch that every batter that comes up, I'm like, well, this guy doesn't scare me. This guy... It used to be that when you were facing the Yankees, you were like, well, you know, you've got to get this guy because he's left-handed, and now you're going to face a right-hander next, and that right-hander kills you.

3:09.5

I mean, it used to be you had to navigate through that line. you know, you've got to get this guy because he's left-handed and now you're going to face

3:07.5

a right-handed next and that right-hander kills you.
