We've got an awesome show in store today.

I feel lucky, kicking things off, that here we are 147 episodes into this show,

approaching our seventh year

of this show and my Rolodex is what I would call substantial. And by that I mean, the majority

of folks who I've had in the show are people who I'm good friends with or at least I'm well

acquainted. So it's actually rare where I have to lean on somebody else, lean on a friend,

tap into my network to convince someone else with whom I'm not actually connected to get on this show.

Usually these people who are the guests are already in my contact list,

so I can call them up, text them, see what times and dates work to make these conversations happen.

And frankly, I think it's pretty neat.

Our guest today is someone who has been in my contact list since 2007.

That is a time period that spans nearly my entire cycling career.

It certainly spans his entire cycling career.

This is someone with whom I've crossed paths with, then teammates with, you could argue

three separate times. He's an Olympian in a sport that I don't think you'd actually recognize,

at least, at least not the Cameron that we know in contemporary times. You'll certainly recognize

the sport, but maybe you didn't even know that he was an athlete in this sport, and he's an Olympian. He is an athlete who ran a half marathon famously after racing

Perry Rube, literally the evening of Perry Rube, he went out for a quick half-mile run. He has won

Iron Man races. He has raced a bunch of grand tours. He is as globe-trotting as they get. And I'm going to keep this

vague for his title because he's a bit of jack of all trades. Let's just call him professional
