Alan Moon, who's a pretty famous board game designer, designed tickets to ride for one,

I think he's been running it for 15 or so years in Columbus, Ohio, and he invites his friends to come play with him, and it's called Gather Your Friends. It's grown over the years, and about five years ago, it was probably the biggest newsworthy convention other than Essen, because all the new games from Essen came to the Gather Your Friends, and they got to play them and then everyone,

we read about them and it was kind of an exciting thing.
