Hey there's me Phil Fisher. Welcome back to the show. I'm trying to talk. I clapped already. I'm trying to talk. I'm here with Sky to Tony. Hi. Hi Sky. What color are you wearing today Sky? Black.

0:16.0

Oh, what do you know? And Christian Taylor. Hey Phil. Hi Christian. What color are you wearing today Christian? Spring green. That's nice. Yeah, because you know even though it's four to you know inches of snow outside.

0:27.0

I decided I was going to stick to my guns and bring the spring. Yeah, I know we woke up this morning to snow. Yeah, I put my snowblower away and my cars were outside. Oh, that's my car.

0:37.0

And your children were outside overnight too. That's normal poor little creatures. Somebody requested that I sing the song as Christopher walkin. Oh nice. Can you do that? I would probably have to practice that and try to develop a Christopher walkin impersonation.

0:55.0

I didn't practice it. No, I'd been busy. Yeah, I didn't have I didn't even try. I need to listen to a more. I haven't listened to very much. But you clearly is a little bit out of tune, but we're in a hurry. So we don't have time to do anything. But this is that we I don't know if you all realize this, but this is a zero budget show. We don't have any revenue and we don't get paid anything. So when you say, why don't you do more research into your stories?

1:20.0

Who can afford to do more research? You get what you pay for. What you pay for? Okay. Hey, it's a podcast. What do you know? Christopher walkin thinking about Christopher walkin. Hey, it's a podcast. And we got video. Hey, it's a podcast. So lend a ear. The field of Shepard guest starts right here. Will the sky. I feel ice guy in Christian to hey Phil. That sounded interesting. Like Christopher walkin. I don't know how he sound. I don't know. I need to he's a go watch a bunch of him. More cowbell. Right. We need more.

1:50.0

More cowbell. He's got that New York thing. It's more as rate of speech and speech. Very unusual choppy. I spit. And we got no guests. Not even Christopher walkin here for you. But we have a guest chair.

2:02.8

River guest chair. Oh, yeah, there's a tiny chair in front of sky. Hey, it's podcast. It's lit in here. The field of Shepard guest start right here.

2:10.2

So yeah, he seems kind of blas a yeah, you have a bad week. What's wrong with blas a like what's wrong with depression? I what's wrong with depression? I'm really enjoying it. Come on, sky.

2:21.2

What's up? There's like four inches of snow outside. What's on your mind? Nothing. I just how's your heart? I'm doing all right. He's just a little mellow today. Stop shaving again. It's usually a bad sign. I did a mens retreat.

2:36.2

This week. Are you eating? Oh, yeah. Are you sleeping? Yeah. Okay. You did a mens retreat this weekend. Where? Northside of Chicago, North suburbs. Okay. The church not like at a camp. No, no, it was the first press. But you're in church of Evanston.

2:55.2

How many men? How many how many women? How much longer are you going to be able to do gender specific retreats before somebody says it's now like against the law?

3:10.2

Let's put it out there to our listeners. What do you think? Let me ask you have you ever done a women's retreat? No, I have not. In fact, I rarely do mens retreats. Yeah, because I'm not like a man's retreat. No, I don't know. What did you talk about?

3:22.2

Guys, come on. Guys, don't share that with you. You're not part of the club. The things that guys talk about when no women are around. That's a whole different world. Actually, I live in a man's world. And it is not as secretive or as special.

3:39.2

You're talking about your house, right? Yeah, me and five men. That wasn't a social statement about America or the western suburbs of Chicago. No, my house. Your house. Pretty much. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So what'd you talk about?

3:50.2

I, you know, my normal stick, which is, you know, the width stuff, the, the, what I did four talks on redefining one on redefining religion, one on redefining prayer, one on redefining purpose, and one on redefining radical.

4:05.2

That sounds good. Redefining radical. Oh, is that based on the go climb all the mountains and live crazy and adopt 100 children to show how radical you are for God? Right.

4:18.2

Okay. Yeah, it's a, it's a, it's a my, your message was chill. My message was the origin of the word radicals from the Latin word radicalis, which means rooted. So the truly radical Christian life is the one that's deeply rooted in communion with Christ, not the one that exhibits quote unquote radical circumstance. So what did it mean in its original context? What?

4:41.2

To be radical? Well, it's just become because of the book radical by David Platt. It's become really a popular. I know, but that I mean go back to how did it go from rooted to rad to rad? That's a good question. I don't know.

4:56.2

Root. Root. He isn't a linguist. I'm not an etymologist. I thought maybe you did this research because you had to do a men's retreat and you had to explain it in your talk. No, I've done this talk in a lot of places. I did it when we were at my all together.

5:08.2

The one about the part of the song store. Yeah, I was there. I was there. I was listening to the main street Disneyland. I was sitting. I was sitting. I was your biggest fan that day. I was your biggest fan from Disney World. I was the first one at your book signing. Uh-huh.

5:22.2

Would you sign my books, Kajatani? We got, we don't have a lot of new news, but we had a lot of response to last week's show. It got a lot of interest.
