We have a very exciting guest today.

Her name is Diana Suhame.

She is an author.

She is British, which, as you know, is very exciting for me.

As an anglophile, she has a book out coming out in the States

on May 1st called No Modernism Without Lesbians that we will talk about at length throughout this

episode. But she has written a ton of stuff. She's an award-winning author. Let me throw it to Diana, because her accent is

nicer than mine. Diana, thank you so much for being with us. Hello. Hello. Thank you for

inviting me. Is there anything that you want to say about your previous work or about the current book?

Anything at all?

Well, I started writing biographies of lesbians 35 years ago, which dates because I'm old.

And I think that...

Mature, I think is what we're saying now I quite like the word old I think it sounds

well the grand um but but I think the interesting thing is that you know and I've written about

13 books of of of lesbians.

But back then, I couldn't have had the word lesbian on the title

because no mainstream publisher would have agreed to it.
