It wasn't until I started hit my 40s. I started taking pressure off myself and I started becoming more and more comfortable just being me.

But in the early going, I mean, I went from caveman to hunchback, to beast, to whatever.

I mean, there was a lot of it and I became known for it and became you know the only time I was considered for work was if you covered this shit up and turned it into something else.

And the interesting poetic thing about that

is that I needed it.

I needed to have a layer of artificial goop between me and the camera.

If I didn't have that mask, I was very self-conscious.

And how cool is it that I got a chance to be an actor under those circumstances

because those are the only ways that I was comfortable enough to be an actor.
