our inquiry question

0:17.0

How do we apply natural law and situation ethics to cases of euthanasia? So we've done this a little bit in the previous section where we use one example, but we're going to pick out some more case studies because if you're doing the exam, you need to know the case studies. If you're not doing the exam, the case studies are just really interesting and bring to life the issues of ethics and euthanasia as well. So the first case study we're going to look at

0:38.7

is a case from France. So we're going to look at an individual named Shantel Sabir. Just a bit of

Now, if you want to see the kind of effects, feel free to Google her name, Chantelle Sabir.

Some of the images are pretty horrific of what happens to her.

Effectively, her head kind of, you know, inflates and stops working. She was in an incredible

1:36.7

amount of pain. She lost her sight. She lost her sense of taste. She lost her sense of smell.

1:43.0

She had to be on constant medication to deal with

1:45.3

the horrendous migraines and pain that she was in with her kind of head literally kind of,

1:51.4

you know, falling apart. There's a quote from her, which is, one would not allow an animal to go

1:56.3

through what I have endured. Now, if we're going to use some of our key terminology we were looking

2:00.0
