Welcome to another edition of Best On Tour this week where we talk about what happened on and off the water in the world of professional bass fishing.

I'm your host Matt Pangrack along with Dave Rush from Best On Tour.

And Dave, we have a lot of on-the-water action that took place this past week with the Elite Series 2026 season kicking off and also the start to the MLF Pro Circuit.

Let's start in Alabama with a big win for a man who has back-to-back classic trophies on his resume.

Yes, and now adds his first Elite Series win to his trophy case, to his resume.

That would be Mr. Hank Cherry with a total of $88,11, taking home $102,000 for his effort and getting the Elite Series season kicked off in a big way.

First event without forward facing sonar and going with a little old school technique.

I'm sure you've heard it over and over ad nauseum now, but swimming a small grub and Mr. Hank Cherry getting it done in a big way,

huge bag on day four sealing the deal at Lake Gunnersville. And man, state of Alabama,

Lake Gunnersville treats that guy right. Absolutely. The top eight anglers in the final

standings averaged a 20-pound bag.

Interestingly, it was Hank's fifth win with Bassmaster,

but his first Elite Series win, he had an open in Alabama in 2012.

He won Toyota Trucks All-Star Week in 2013 in Michigan.

Then obviously the back-to-back classics in Alabama and

Fort Worth in 20 and 21, and finally gets the first Elite Series win and the 100,000

that goes with it in the FXR Bassmaster Elite Series on Lake Gunnersville this past week.

Another fairly dominating victory took place in Florida on the Harris chain as the MLF Pro Circuit kicked off their competition along with kind of the debut of the new three-hour

scope period.

Drew Gill wins that event by a 17-plus pound margin with 6604.
